Halloween history

Halloween gets its origins from the ancient Celtic festival Samhain, a pagan festival for the end of harvest in the fall. This newspaper clipping (Halloween Was First Celebrated By Inhabitants of Rural Sections) from 1942 is an early reference to the festival and its connection with modern Halloween.
